I bought a Square Trade warranty on my 42" Envision LCD TV, bought at Staples, a couple of years ago. The warranty was valid until 2010.
While Square Trade could have had me ship this TV to them for repair, when it developed an LCD fault, they decided the TV was too large and bulky to ship, with a big chance that it may very well be destroyed totally in transit.
Also at its age, repair would likely be more expensive than replacement.
On their request, I faxed them a copy of my Staples receipt. They immediately issued a refund for the price of the TV.
One phone call and one fax. That was it.
I could ask for NO better service of a warranty than that.
NOTE: Keep your receipts and copies of your warranty at least as long as the warranty is in effect!

I purchased a TV for my son about almost 2 years ago and it just went out about 2 weeks ago.
I did my claim online. The next day I received an email with a prepaid shipping label. I packed it; shipped it, and in just 4 days my full refund was in my bank account.
Just like that!!!
Highly recommend it.

Made a claim re: 47" ebay purchased LCD HDTV on a Tuesday: Courteous, friendly representative said they would refund purchase price, rather than attempt an in-home repair (after hearing description of problem). She emailed an affdavit to for me to sign and email back; and, said depending on how quickly they received it, the full purchase price would be in my PayPal account on the following Friday or Tuesday night. I rec'd the affidavit within 1 to 2 minutes, signed it, and send it back immediately. When I had not heard from them by that Friday A.M., I called to check on the status of my claim. A different (and equally couteous and friendly) representative asked me "who" in claims had I sent the affidavit to, as he could not locate it. I told him that email address was [...] with NO NAME! He immediately sent me another affidavit that would be directed to him; and, said that if I signed and returned it right away, he would have my refund in my PayPal account on Tuesday night. I did and SO DID HE - full PayPal refund Tuesday evening!!! It can't get much easier than that! I used it to purchase a 50" plasma HDTV; and, of course I purchased another 4-year SquareTrade Warranty!!!

I haven't had any problems with my TV yet, but the warranty arrived immediately and it seems pretty sound. I wish all warranties were this easy.
